As a Greeter, you will greet diners and guests at restaurants, merchants and bar. After they are seated or upon entering the store or bar, you will have an opportunity to provide information about the event and distribute raffle sign-up/donation envelopes. You’ll be paired up with another volunteer so that each of you will have a chance to take breaks and eat dinner. Once you arrive at your assigned location, please check in with the manager, or the manager on duty. We will have notified them in advance that you’ll be a greeter and they should be expecting you. All greeter shifts are during dinner hours and the exact hours for this restaurant are listed below.

All Greeters are asked to attend an Orientation to pick up materials and get the information they need to be an effective volunteer

As a Restaurant Captain you will ‘adopt’ a restaurant of your choice and commit to recruit at least 7 friends (to make a group of 8) to dine at that restaurant with you. Upon making your commitment (see the Volunteer link below) to be a Restaurant Captain, we encourage you to contact your restaurant to make a reservation and to inform them that you’ll be supporting them the night of Dine Around – they’ll be happy to hear from you. Then we encourage you to use whatever tools you have to recruit your family, friends and associates. Evite.com is an excellent tool as are other socializing websites like Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and others.
